Push Marketing
Push your information - the customer may or may not be aware of your product so you will need to push your idea. It requires putting your brand identity on every piece of business collateral.

It requires researching your target audience:
What are your Customer Demographics?
Metric Research- Get the data. What are they looking for? Where are they? Who are they?
Qualitative Research- what is the mood they must be in to make a purchase?

Types of Push Marketing:
google ads so that when your audience searches for what they need they find you
print ads- in magazines and newspapers that are key to your audience
post card campaign -direct mail
banner ads where your audience is hanging out
on-line forums where your audience is hanging out
free listings on websites that are key to your audience
paid listing on websites that are key to your audience
website optimization for best search placement

Pull Marketing
Pull your target audience toward you. Lure them in with freebies, a hip surrounding, something for them to do other then buy.

Twitter
Blogging
